The VikTV platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform" or "we/us") sincerely appreciates your trust. We deeply understand that data privacy is the cornerstone of the digital age. Therefore, we have formulated this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") to transparently inform you about how we process various types of data generated while you enjoy our short drama services. By clicking "Agree" or starting to use VikTV, you signify your recognition of the legal effect of this Policy.
Our system acquires the following three categories of key data at necessary business junctures:
Identity Authentication Information: When you choose to log in quickly via Google, Apple, or Facebook accounts, we will obtain your public profile (including nickname, avatar, email address, and third-party Unique Device Identifier) through third-party authorization interfaces. Additionally, the system will automatically record the authorization time and Device ID, please note that we only read the identification information used for identity matching and will never obtain your third-party account password.
Terminal Information Data: To ensure the smooth operation of the application on your device, we will automatically collect the device model, OS version, application build version, and unique hardware identifier (such as IMEI) during application initialization (including the first launch and each wake-up).
Interaction Behavior Logs: To optimize content distribution, the background records your viewing data, which specifically includes: short drama ID, episode watched, duration of stay, and resumption markers. Additionally, when the application exits abnormally, the system automatically generates crash logs (containing error codes and crash times) for technical diagnosis.
Network Adaptation Information: At the moment of application launch and during short drama video switching, we real-time detect the current network connection protocol and version information to ensure the seamless transition of video streams.
Advertising Interaction Data: To maintain the operation of the service, we may collect advertising display records, click behavior, Open Anonymous Device Identifiers (such as IDFA, AAID), and exposure frequency through partners (such as Google AdMob, AppLovin, etc.). These data are only used for advertising attribution, anti-cheating detection, and customized recommendation models.
Clipboard Content: When you actively trigger the copy/paste function within the app, the system will temporarily read the clipboard content to enhance operational convenience (e.g., quickly paste an invitation code). We promise not to silently monitor the clipboard in the background, nor will we collect sensitive information from it or share it with third parties.
Our use of data strictly follows the principle of "minimum necessity," and all data serves the iteration of product experience:
Compatibility and Adaptation: We utilize terminal information to dynamically adjust decoding parameters to avoid picture anomalies or buffering delays caused by differences in software and hardware.
Systematic Maintenance: By analyzing error logs, we can accurately locate potential code vulnerabilities and achieve rapid closed-loop repair of faults.
Identity Recognition and Account Management : Establish user uniqueness through third-party account identifiers, which are used for account binding, preventing duplicate registration, and ensuring that you can seamlessly restore historical viewing data, task data, reward values, etc. after changing devices.
Advertising Service Optimization: Based on advertising identifiers and interaction behaviors, display third-party ads that may be relevant to your interests (not precision targeting based on personal sensitive information), avoid irrelevant ads from disturbing you, and support anti-cheating mechanisms at the same time.
Security Risk Control System: By integrating Device ID and login records, it can detect abnormal login behaviors (such as login from unfamiliar devices in different locations) in real-time, and address technical issues through crash log repair, reducing app crashes and data anomalies to ensure service stability.
Cross-border Storage: Your digital assets may be stored in any data center globally (including nodes within and outside your home country). Your continued use of the service constitutes implied consent to the cross-border transmission and storage of data.
Full-link Defense: We have constructed a defense-in-depth system covering transport layer encryption (SSL/TLS), logical layer access control (RBAC), and network layer firewalls to comprehensively defend against illegal intrusion and data theft.
When providing advertising services and account quick login, we may entrust screened third-party service providers to process relevant data. We promise to provide only the information necessary for function implementation, and strictly supervise and agree on the privacy protection obligations of the entrusted parties. Details are as follows:
Account Authorization Service : Share the unique identifier and authorization time of the account with Google, Apple, and Facebook, aiming to complete identity verification and enable quick login.
Advertising Service Providers: Share advertising identifiers and interaction information with AdMob, AppLovin, etc., for the purpose of providing advertising services, optimizing matching, and anti-fraud.
Data Analysis Service: Share anonymized device information and usage data (such as app usage duration, crash data) with data service providers to analyze user habits and improve product experience.Anonymization
We adhere to the principle of data privacy and will never resell, trade, or publicly disclose data to any third party without your explicit authorization.
Statutory Exemption Situations: If faced with a legal summons from a judicial authority, a mandatory order from an administrative agency, or to fulfill obligations stipulated by laws and regulations, we will provide necessary data support within the statutory scope.
Right to Know and Right to Access: You may review this Policy at any time to know the data acquisition permissions; you also have the right to refuse our collection of certain types of device information (which can be achieved through system permission settings).
Right to Refuse and Revoke: You may restrict the collection of specific device information through the permission management center of your operating system; you may also unilaterally terminate data authorization and stop subsequent data collection by uninstalling the application.
Right to Correction and Update: If your personal information changes, you may contact us through the feedback channel to update or correct it.
Right to Delete: You can apply to cancel your account in the app settings. Once cancelled, we will completely delete or anonymize your relevant data and terminate the service.
Users of this Platform must meet the minimum age requirement (usually 13 years old; users in the EU must be at least 16 years old, or as otherwise required by the laws of the local jurisdiction).
We strictly prohibit the collection of data from minors when we have actual knowledge of their status. If a guardian discovers that a minor has used this Platform without permission, please contact us immediately. We will activate an emergency response mechanism and permanently delete relevant data after verification.
This Policy will be dynamically adjusted as the business develops and laws and regulations evolve. The revised terms shall take effect from the moment of publication.
